Write a check
Write a check and win prizes!
Published: Tue, Oct 3, 2017, 09:29AM CDT

Write-A-Check (WAC) is the convenient way to donate to VRE through the PTO that allows us to pay for essential classroom items that may have been cut from the classroom budget.

=> In the past 2 weeks, we have reached approximately $7000 but we are still very far from our goal (which is $15000). There are 650 students in our school. If each student contributes $25 then we can achieve our goal. This is just a suggested amount but any amount is appreciated.

=> At the end of week1, K2 was the highest contributing class and they earned an ice cream party.

=> At the end of week 2, 2D was the highest contributing class and they earned a Hawaiian theme dance party. There was another bonus attached to this week. At every $100 total contribution, PTO gave a book from book fair to the class from the teacher’s Wishlist.

=> K1 (3 books), K3 (1 book), K4 (1 book), K5 (2 books), 1D (1book), 1E (2books), 2A (2 books), 2D (4 books), 2E (2 books), 4D (3 books), 4E (2 books) and 5B (1 book) are the proud winners.

=> For week 3, we are giving a classroom supplies gift basket to the highest contributing class. Every kid in that class will get a spirit stick too.

=> With each donation that you make, your child will be eligible to be entered in the Raffle Draw! One student per grade will be chosen. There are awesome games/prizes to be won.

=> Oct 5th is the last day to make all donations for “Write a check”.  On  Oct 10th, the Raffle prize winning students will be announced.

=> We would like everyone to participate so every class can reach 100%. You can donate online conveniently and securely at here.

=> Alternatively, you could also send cash or write a check payable to: VRE PTO. Or, you may also have your child bring the check in a labeled envelope (with child’s name/grade) to school. Please check with your employer about corporate matching to make your donation go even further!

=> If you have any questions about our Write-A-Check fundraiser, please email us at valleyranchpto@gmail.com or visit us at here.
